"The
greatest risk in the world is to be unwilling to take a risk", Bo Short
Since 1990 until 1998 my life
has been an ongoing risk taking adventure in the self employment environment.
Determination and endurance has been key elements of progressive success.
Willingness to do what others dismissed as to much of a hassle gave me
what those people didn't had.
In 1998
I took another chance by changing my environment: I moved from my country to
Silicon Valley and started again from the ground. That meant entering back the
corporate world I left in 1990. At this time I had to decide between stay in
Honduras at the level I had accomplished or entering a new field and continue
growing at an unknown rate. Once I left my business it would be very difficult
to get it back should I fail here, hence the risk.
That's
history as of this writing. Now the challenge is to outperform the income
growth of a typical corporate job. After looking at some alternatives I
decided to take the risks associated with the stock market. The overall goal
is to parallel the income I am getting from my job in order to jump to another
chapter on the risk taking adventure: living off of my investments. We shall see
that!
Update as of
2002. My comfortable job in Silicon Valley is over and I was forced back
to start from scratch. Dream Home Concepts Corporation, the result of this
circumstance, has now the duty to support me while Globe Capital
Management, Corp. grows to the point of being able to do that.
