"I was living in darkness
and fear until I discovered that there was plenty of light but my eyes could not
see it because they were closed", R.S.
We are awaken from our sleep and forced to rush in order to complete a very detailed and tight schedule. Of course we don't like it but, suddenly we remember where we are. In
the prison other controls our lives; they tell us at what time to go out of bed, how much time to spend in the shower, when to eat, what to eat. They take us to the sweat shop where we have to endure all kind of hardships; they control our leisure time; they tell us where to go, how long we can stay there; they determine what we can have; how much time we can spend with our loved ones.
I am glad I don't have to serve any prison time and I am sure you also are glad that you don't have to either, but...
When you wake up in the morning, it is because you are tired of sleeping or is it because you have to go to work?
Do you really like sandwiches, canned, microwave or otherwise fast foods; or is it that you don't have time to have a home made fresh cooked meal for lunch?
Do you go to the office because you like being around your coworkers, have nothing better to do or is it because you have bills to pay?
Do you end your vacations when you get bored of the fun or when your vacation time and/or budget runs out? Do you go where you like to go and in the way you like to go or is it where and the way you can afford?
Do you purchase your things like houses, cars, clothes, etc.; by looking at the specifications or by looking at the tags?
Hi! I am your cell mate; welcome to the prison J.O.B. (Just Over Broke); make sure you are comfortable because we are going to be here for a very long while... Do you like it? Well, I really do! My cell is very comfortably: Wake up time late in the morning and flexible, fresh cooked meals at the time I set, high degree of freedom to do personal chores, family like environment and other perks. The only thing I don't like about it is that I HAVE to be here whether I like it or not; and like some others that hate this prison, I am now in the escape committee. I have to admit that I made that decision a little bit late (9 years late); and also have to admit that I was too timid at first. Our most precious asset in our quest for freedom is TIME (read it: compound factor).
If you want to join us, you have to understand that each one of us is responsible for his/her own escape route or plan. The committee can only suggest resources; and while the sky is the limit I can introduce you to:
